"My favorite part of this work is helping a client refine their patent application into a patent that they can use in the commercialization of their invention. It's great to feel that one is doing something important to support the development of Finnish technology and our society as a whole. After all, it's inventions and new technology that will enable us to thrive in the future."

Juha-Matti works as European Patent Attorney on Laine IP Oy’s chemistry team, where he is responsible for patents in biotechnology and chemistry. He is highly experienced in patent prosecution, with strong IPR expertise especially in genetic engineering, cellular and microbiology, and biotechnology. He has also successfully prosecuted patents for mechanical inventions.

Juha-Matti has worked at Laine IP since 2015. Prior to joining the company, he worked as Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney at Oy Jalo Ant-Wuorinen Ab, and as a researcher with the Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Helsinki.
